Is Rwanda safe to travel?

Rwanda, one of Africa’s safest countries, has rebuilt itself after the genocide into a peaceful, clean, and vibrant nation. It now emphasizes technology, gender equality, and biodiversity conservation despite the permanent scars left by its past.

Entry Visa

Rwanda grants visa on arrival to all the citizens from all the over the world. Citizens of countries members of the African Union, the Commonwealth and Francophonie are granted free entry visa for a period of 30 days.

Booking Terms & Conditions

For gorilla & chimpanzee tracking bookings, full payment is required to secure permits. For other tours, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due at booking, with the balance payable 30 days before the tour begins.

Minimum age for Safari

There is no minimum age limit required to stay at a safari lodge or camp in Rwanda. However, children should be over four (4) years old to participate in game drives (recommended, not mandatory).

Best time to visit Rwanda

From March to May, heavy rains offer the best wildlife viewing opportunities. 

June to August is ideal for hiking and volcano climbing due to dry conditions, reducing mud and slipperiness.

Dietary needs

Most hotels  catering to our travelers can accommodate special dietary needs. Please provide advance notice so we can make necessary arrangements with the accommodations.

Minimum Age For Gorilla trekking

Gorilla tracking in Rwanda’s Volcanoes Park or Uganda’s Bwindi NP is restricted to visitors aged 15 and above due to safety protocols. Children under 15 are not permitted.

Do prices include hotel pickup?

All our tours include hotel pickup and drop-off. Multi-day tours feature 3-star lodge accommodation with breakfast. Luxury lodge upgrades are available for an additional fee.

Do tour prices include permits?

Our prices include permits for guided tours to parks and museums. If you change or cancel your tour, permits are non-refundable but can be rescheduled for an additional fee with at least 7 days’ notice before the tour date.

Group Tours

We specialize in crafting customized tour packages for students, cyclists, researchers, hikers and the elderly. Working closely with tour operators, we design experiences tailored to each group’s interests, physical abilities, and educational goals. 

Minimum Age For Hiking

Canopy walkway – 7 years and above; Chimpanzee tracking – 15 years and above; Camping and tea plantation walks – no age limit.
